Campaign Story

If you’re reading this, you most likely already know that I’m Kelsey & my husband is Colton Barnett. We met in July 2023 and got married in October 2024. We have an 8 year old (Corey) and a 7 year old (Marianna) who are our whole world. Ever since I was a little girl, I knew that there were two things I wanted to be in life: a teacher and a mama. I am very blessed to say that I am both of those things, but God has placed the desire in my heart to have another child. Colton and I want more than anything to expand our family, but unfortunately that isn’t going to look the way we had expected and hoped for. Some may know that I had surgery last month, but until now I haven’t gone into the details with many people. Due to the presence of cysts and their size, I had to have a bilateral salpingectomy. In other words, both of my fallopian tubes were removed. Without having either tube, our only option for getting pregnant is through IVF. We have taken the first steps and met with a fertility specialist. I had kept up hope and a positive outlook going to the appointment, knowing that there was still a possibility for me to have another child. After hearing the cost and that the full amount must be paid up front, it put a hold on our plans. We cannot begin the process without paying $15,000, which we are not able to do at this time. I’ve looked into different options for covering the costs, which has led me here. Of course we don’t expect anything from anyone, but if you are able and willing to donate any amount toward our goal, you will never know how much we truly appreciate it!
